WHAT IS FLASHING?
Flashing is a term used when someone converts a phone from a specific carrier to be used with another carrier. To use a phone from VeriZon and convert it to be used with CricKet, is called "Flashing a Phone". However, Not all phones Can be flashed to CricKet Wireless. Only Cdma phones can be flashed to CricKet.

 

 

 There are two types of phones the ones that have sim cards, like T-mobile or AT&T/cingular, and the ones that don't, like Verizon and Sprint. These two are very different from each other. One is called GSM (phones with sim cards) and the other is CDMA(phones with no sim cards). You cannot activate a gsm phone on a cdma Network and vice versa. This means that, No, the Iphone and sidekicks cannot be flashed to CricKet. And if you saw it on YOUTube, then it's a LIE! UNLESS ITS THE FLASHING EXPERT PAGE!

FLASHED PHONES WILL NOT WORK IN TRI-BAND MARKETS

CricKet Wireless is getting bigger and bigger but Not All Markets Will suppot Flashed phones. Tri-band areas run on AWS towers and requires special Tri Band phones for CricKet wireless to work. If your Flashed phone is NOT TRIBAND then dont expect it to work! There is nothing we can do but to hope CricKet Wireless gets out of these AWS towers and become Full CricKet Markets!!!
